CSM Shane Pospisil currently serves as the Command Sergeant Major for the United States Military Training Mission to Saudi Arabia

Command Sergeant Major Shane E. Pospisil was born in Middletown, New York, he grew up in Bolton, Connecticut, and entered the ARMY in OCT 1991. After completion of Basic Training and AIT at Fort Jackson SC, he attended the Airborne course and the Ranger Indoctrination Program. He was then assigned to the 75th Ranger Regiment at Ft. Benning, Georgia. CSM Pospisil has served in a variety of positions, including Fire Team Leader, Rifle Squad Leader, Long Range Surveillance Team Leader, Bde Assistance Air NCO, Ranger Instructor/writer, Rifle Platoon Sergeant, LNO to JSOC, Company and BN Tactical NCO, Rifle Company and HHC Company Sergeant First Sergeant, Squadron Command Sergeant Major and the 30th Regimental Command Sergeant Major of the 2nd Cavalry Regiment.

CSM Pospisil participated in Operation Restore Democracy in the Republic of Haiti and Operation Restore Hope in the Republic of Panama, and Operation Atlantic Resolve in Europe. He has been deployed in support of both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. His military education includes all noncommissioned officer education system courses to include to include the U.S Army Sergeants Major Academy. Additional training include the First Sergeant Course, Ranger course, Airborne course, Jumpmaster course as well as many other Military courses. CSM Pospisil's civilian education includes a Bachelor of Science in administrative management from Excelsior College, Albany New York.

CSM Pospisil's awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal w(1OLC), the Meritorious Service Medal w(4 OLC), the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal w(2OLC), the Army Achievement Medal w(5 OLC), the Good Conduct Medal (7th award), the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal w(One Bronze Star), the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal, the Humanitarian Service Medal, the NCO Professional Development Ribbon with numeral 4, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon with the numeral 6, the Multinational Force and Observers Medal, NATO Medal, the Meritorious Unit Award and the Valorous Unit Award. He also earner the Ranger Tab, Expert Infantryman's Badge, Combat Infantryman's Badge, Master Parachutist Badge, as well as Canadian, British and Thailand Parachute wings. CSM Pospisil earned the U.S Cavalry's Silver and Gold spurs and has been inducted into the Order of Saint Maurice (Centurion), Order of Saint George (Bronze) and Sergeant Morales Club.
